ParticipantTo be honest, I find SPSS to be more user friendly after watch the demos on each software. At first glance, R looks very overwhelming and confusing.

ParticipantI share your view, Faithlyn. SPSS looks more user friendly. It is new to me but looks manageable. I’ve been trying to complete a Udemy course introducing users to R. It is so overwhelming and I wasn’t sure I would ever know how to use it in my research. After watching Dr Addison’s demo, I have a little more confidence in using R.

KeymasterHi Participants! Thanks for sharing your insights on the software and for being open to learning both. Both SPSS and R have their advantages and disadvantages but it really depends on the user and your preferences as well as the size of the data set in some cases. SPSS is not open source however, and that may be a hindrance in some cases so it is always great to know other tools as well, such as R.
