ParticipantWhile I would have not initially thought of Psychology as a Science, it does make sense to think of it as a science. In order to increase our (humankind’s) knowledge and understanding of some area, scientific principles would have to be followed. Including formulating hypotheses, designing experiments to test those, collecting data, observations etc. If these methods are not followed, then how can we have any level of certainty in statements made in any area?
While Psychology deals with human behaviours which are complex and varied, thinking of Psychology as a science allows patterns and principles to be formalised
