Participant1. Did students improve from pre- to post-test?
Between the pre-test and post-test there is a significant improvement shown in the scores. It is seen that there was a p = 0.0006 improvement from the pre-test to the post-test.2. Are gender differences in test performance statistically significant?
The results did not show any significant differences between the male and female scored in the post-test.3. Which study method led to the highest performance?
Flashcards used as a study method had the highest post-test scores at a mean of 72. Followed up by Group Study (71), then Reading Only (63).4. What does the Tukey post hoc test tell us about specific group differences?
According to the Turkey post hoc test each study methods vary a significant amount from each other. We see this with the scores mentioned above in number three: the flashcards score was significantly higher than group study, and the group study score are significantly higher than the read only scores. How can these results be applied in designing student support strategies?
These results show that we should promote using flashcards more when designing student support strategies. Since there was no gender specific difference between the pre and post tests therefore this strategy is best used for all students. Along with the active recall technique that flashcards provide it would be effective to integrate it with group study as well since it also led to a high post-test score
