Participant1. Pearson correlation coefficient – -0.90, suggesting a strong negative linear relationship between social anxiety and study hours. Thus, heightened anxiety levels are associated with shorter study times.
2. Since the p-value = 0.0003 < 0.05, then the negative correlation is statistically significant. Therefore, there is sufficient evidence of an association between social anxiety and reduced study time.
3. By Chi-Squared test results: p-value = 0.1612 > 0.05, so the null hypothesis is rejected. Therefore, no statistically significant association exists between attendance level and passing the course.
A warning message was also given, suggesting that the expected cell counts may be too small/low, reducing reliability of the results. Thus, a larger sample would generate better results and insights.4. The statistically significant negative correlation between Social Anxiety and Study Hours should be prioritised, since this suggests that anxiety affects the frequency with which students study. Based on this result, interventions focused on mental health, confidence-building and/or stress management, among others could lead to improved academic performance and behaviour.
