Participant1. What is the average perceived stress score among the students?
The average perceived stress score is 26.3
2. Did males or females sleep more on average?
Descriptive statistics reveal than on average the average sleep score for Male persons (M=6.25, SD=1.04) was marginally higher than female persons ( M=5.17, SD=1.032).The results revealed that these differences were not statistically significant t(8) =1.62, p = .072. The assumption of homogeneity of variances was met as assessed by the Leven’s Test(p=.947)
3.Is there a relationship between stress and sleep? What does the correlation suggest?
There is a strong negative correlation between the variables -0.974 which is statistically significant p=.001.
These results suggest that as sleep hours increase, perceived stress score would decrease.
